In the state of New Jersey, we have the law of comparative negligence. In New Jersey, the law analyzes fault as between tow or more parties. You can still maintain a claim against another party as long as you’re not more than 50 percent at fault. If you’re 51 percent or more at fault, you’re out of the game as far as whether you’re able to bring a claim.
