A holographic will is a will handwritten by the person (the “testator”)preparing his or her last will and testament.
The holographic will can be informal – a testator can make one on the back of an envelope – but it has to be in ink and in the handwriting of a testator where it identifies who the testator is.
It need to be dated, clear within this four corners of the writing that the testator intended this to be his or her last will and testament and signed. It does not need to be witnessed.
